Hyde Park residents have access to a spacious swimming pool that is 30 feet wide, 60 feet long, and ranges from 3 to 5 feet in depth — that's over 50,000 gallons of fun!
Repairs to the pool are complete and we are awaiting issuance of our 2025 pool permit by the Mecklenburg County Environmental Health Department. An announcement will be sent out to all residents when the pool is open.
Pool season runs from May 1 to September 30. During that time, the pool is open daily from 7:00am to 10:00pm. A fob or access to the CellGate app is required to open the pool gate.
In order to ensure the safe enjoyment of the pool by all Hyde Park residents, all pool users are expected to read and abide by the following rules.
Residents are strongly discouraged from swimming alone.
No children under the age of 16 shall be permitted in the pool area unless accompanied by a responsible adult.
Running and horseplay are not permitted.
Pushing or throwing people into the pool is not allowed.
Diving and flipping are not allowed.
No bicycles, scooters, roller skates, skateboards, or other wheeled vehicles are permitted in the fenced-in pool area.
Footballs, basketballs, and other "hard" balls are not permitted in the pool area. Beach and foam balls are allowed.
No glass objects of any kind are allowed in the pool area.
Swimmers must exit the water promptly if thunder is heard or lightning is seen and must remain out of the water for at least 30 minutes after the last thunderclap or 45 minutes after the last lightning strike.
All swimmers must shower before entering the pool.
All swimmers must wash their hands after using the bathroom.
No person with open wounds, skin infections, abrasions, colds, coughs, inflamed eyes, or wearing bandages is allowed in the pool.
Any contamination of the pool by bodily fluids must be reported to management immediately.
Proper swim attire is required.
All children under the age of 3, or those who are not fully potty-trained regardless of age must wear a fitted, reusable swim diaper. Cloth diapers, regular disposable diapers, or commercial swim diapers (Huggies Little Swimmers, or Pampers Splashers) are not acceptable.
Smoking and vaping are not permitted within the fenced-in pool area.
Pets are not allowed in the fenced-in pool area.
Food and beverages are allowed on the pool deck, but not in or on the edge of the pool.
Chewing food or gum while in the pool is not allowed.
No glass bottles, dishware, or other containers are permitted in the fenced-in pool area.
Dispose of wrappers, uneaten food, and other garbage promptly in the provided receptacles.
Return any furniture you have moved to its original location before leaving the pool.
Furniture may not be moved outside the fenced-in pool area.
All furniture must be kept at least 8 feet from the edge of the pool.
The pool is for Hyde Park residents and their guests only.
Each unit is permitted a maximum of 2 guests.
Guests must be accompanied by a resident at all times.
Do not prop open the gates for any reason.
Residents are expected to clean up after themselves and their guests.
Inappropriate or offensive language is not permitted.
Music must kept at a reasonable volume.
There is no lifeguard on duty at Hyde Park. All persons using the pool do so at their own risk. Neither Hyde Park Owners' Association, Inc. nor its management company are responsible for injuries to residents or guests while using any recreational facility.
